News- Holidaymakers need to plan their finances

London (ask4loan) June 13, 2007: Your holiday spending may land you in financial trouble unless you carefully plan your holidays. Figures from CreditExpert reveal that almost one-fifth of the people surveyed do not concern themselves with the costs associated with their holidays until they come back from the vacation.

The online monitoring service said that around 27 per cent of holiday goers use credit cards, overdrafts and loans to pay for their travel expenses. The research found that those aged between 25 and 34 were more likely to be extravagant and less worried about their personal finances as far as holiday spending was concerned.

Jim Hodgkins of CreditExpert said: "It's worrying that, as a nation, many of us have a 'me now, debt later' attitude to our finances."

The expensive way of financing holidays may pose problems later on. Instead, low cost personal loans may be taken out for the purpose. Personal loans are widely available in the UK financial market. However, you need to plan your holidays and apply for a loan in advance.
